Introduction – Advanced Metal Fabrication and Welding: Kinetic Sculpture
Dates: Saturdays April 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th
Instructor: Harrison Brooks – CASP Artist-in-Resident. Harrison received his Master of Fine Arts from Texas Tech University. He currently works at Rev Limit Customs.
Location: The CH Foundation Metals Studio in the studios at 1106 5th Street.
Class Description: Learn how to incorporate moving parts into sculptures. Moving parts to include, but not limited to, gears, motors, bearings, and pulleys. This class is open to both beginners and experienced students.
Additional Information: All project materials are provided. Please wear appropriate studio clothes (long pants and closed toed shoes) and bring your own welding gloves. The course includes access to open studio hours Thursdays 5-9pm and Saturdays 1-6pm.
