CASP has given me and my studio mate space and exposure to focus in on our crafts. We expanded our music venue project to reach a regular audience of creatively minded folks. Our paintings, sculptures, and prints got bigger and better with the regular relationship to the variety of people Lubbocks culture supplies FFAT with.

CASP is an important organization because it provides affordable living and studio space for artists in Lubbock. The arts are the heartbeat of a city's culture so having opportunities for artists and the public to engage with one another and create community and art helps everyone.

My favorite thing about CASP is the community and artists I get to help and be a part of.

Engaging with the Lubbock community downtown own has delivered new and enlightening insights into how my work is perceived and received. The opportunity to share a dialogue with the public concerning the work I produce and their experience with it has been incredible and inviting them into my studio to work collaboratively with me on projects focused on community initiatives or educating them in the workshops I have held has been and incredibly rewarding experience I don’t think you’d be able to get anywhere else.

My experience at CASP has granted me the privilege of experimentation and the freedom of expression, as well as the opportunity to work alongside and communicate with people whose beliefs, backgrounds, and passions look much different from mine.
