CASP Studio G (January '25 – Current)
Rachel Gililland is a career photographer and environmental advocate from Lubbock, TX. Her work currently consists of a residency at CASP, a feature on canyon road in Santa Fe, and operating a recycling program in her hometown. In addition to working within the studio to create her art, Rachel travels extensively in a vintage Winnebago Warrior RV to explore and capture the beauty of North America’s wildlife, landscapes and nightscapes. Her photography evokes strong emotion, aiming to connect the essence of each subject with the viewer.
CASP is an important organization because they provide a collective space for local artists to create, expand their craft, and connect with the community through their art.
Lissa Muñoz is a contemporary painter with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Texas Tech University, whose work spans a diverse range of mediums, including acrylic, oil, and experimental mixed media. From striking realism to bold abstractions, her art explores dynamic themes that resonate with modern audiences. As a female artist, Lissa strives to spark connection and conversation, redefining the role of women in the contemporary art world.
Kait Walden is an award-winning photographer with over 12 years of experience and the founder of Everlong Adventures, where she sells captivating prints from her travel and macro work. Specializing in wedding and couples photography, she offers clients unforgettable experiences while showcasing her artistic talent and passion for exploration.
Annette Colby is a jeweler and painter from Santa Fe and owner of Ahmyo River Gallery. After earning a doctoral degree she spent 25 years as a spiritual counselor, creative therapist, and a renowned author. Her deep love for New Mexican nature and culture inspires the “Annette Colby” collections. Each unique handmade piece of artwork or jewelry offers a connection to her love of the natural world and its creative processes. Annette enjoys taking weathered and ancient items - such as old paper, bones & fossils, ancient beads, feathers, stones - and giving them a new life in her art.
Nick Nowicki is a mixed media artist specializing in conceptual art installations. He creates interactive “photo wall” installations in Studio G that invite attendees of the First Friday Art Trail to engage directly with the art. While temporary in nature, his work conveys a deeper story and encourages photography for the art to reside in permanence through the experience of the viewer.
