Peyton Scott (January '23 – Current)
"What I love most about CASP is the incredible community of people who call it home. To me, CASP is the beating heart of Lubbock. While art programs might still exist without it, they wouldn’t be nearly as rich, far-reaching, or inclusive. CASP plants deep roots for the arts and shines a light on the extraordinary individuals who often go unnoticed. It breathes life into untold stories, offering hope and opportunity to artists who might never have found a platform if not for someone at CASP opening a door or recognizing a hidden talent. In Lubbock, CASP is synonymous with community. And that, more than anything, is what makes it special. With CASP, you always have a home."
Peyton Scott is an abstract and mixed media artist whose work has been exhibited at Art Basel Miami, NYC, LA, Seattle, Austin, and Boston to name a few. Her practice explores memory, aftermath, and the layered stories that linger beneath the surface.
Alongside her own work, Peyton curates a collective of painters, photographers, jewelers, craft makers, and writers, each bringing their own perspective to the art of witnessing and storytelling
