2024 Fellowship Description
The CH Foundation Fellowships at CASP offer education opportunities and work experience for current students, recent graduates, and emerging artistic professionals. Fellowships are paid and part time with flexible schedules to work around other educational obligations.
Fellows are expected to promote CASP’s mission to build and maintain an artist’s community, positively engage the public, and exemplify the values of CASP. To do this, fellows will assist with maintenance of facilities and equipment, ensure a safe environment for artists and guests, lead classes and workshops, develop community engagement projects, and promote CASP activities to the public.
The three focus areas of the fellowship are as follows;
Arts Administration
Arts Administration Fellows provide support to CASP Director Chad Plunket. Projects may include social media, website maintenance, fundraising, grant writing, and bookkeeping.
Metals Studio & Foundry
Classes offered at the Metals Studio & Foundry include metal fabrication, welding, blacksmithing, kinetic sculpture, and bronze and aluminum sculpture. Area artists also utilize our Metals facilities for commissioned projects.
Print Studio
The Helen DeVitt Jones Print Studio offers printmaking courses to the public, open studio hours for artists, First Friday Art Trail demonstrations, and other special events related to printmaking. Print Studio Fellows work with students and artists of varying levels of knowledge and experience and positively engage the local community as they participate in events.
